Barbara Maneri

I graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 1996, Phi Beta Kappa. My fields of study were business management, salesmanship and marketing. Upon graduation I was approached by another agency that provided Life and Health policies as well as in-home care policies, thus began my career in the insurance field.  I love helping people navigate the complexities of choosing and understanding Medicare and other options available to them. I also work with people under 65 selecting a policy to best fit their needs and their family’s needs.

In 2001 I met Marcus Turner and was introduced to Blue Cross Blue Shield.  It has been a wonderful business association for nearly 20 years. In 2004, I relocated to North Carolina from Nevada. My first year in North Carolina I was honored to be awarded the “Rookie Producer of the Year” by Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  The following year another honor followed, with my induction into the Blue Cross Presidents Club. January 2015, I followed Marcus to the Mair Agency.  We cover Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, PPO and HMO as well as Senior Whole Life products.

Extracurricularly, my greatest passion is horses. Although I am no longer showing Arabian horses, I love to trail ride in the hills near my farm, which is located close to Lenoir, NC.  I am a long-term member of the Arabian Association, and a new member of the Spotted Saddle Horse Association.  Just this past December I realized my dream of buying a “Class A” show quality Rottweiler puppy.
